I routinely run programs in MS-DOS mode, and it seems like they run very
slowly. How can I speed up these programs?

MS-DOS mode is essential for programs that won't run properly under
Windows 95, including games. If you use MS-DOS mode regularly, you can
dramatically improve performance by making one simple configuration
change: Load the SmartDrive disk cache, which is not loaded by default in
MS-DOS mode.
When you click on the Windows 95 or Windows 98 Start button, then choose
the Shut Down, Restart in MS-DOS Mode option, you're actually using a PIF
file called Exit To DOS. To change your MS-DOS mode configuration, you
must edit this PIF file.
Step 1 Open the C:\Windows folder, right-click on the Exit To DOS icon,
then choose Properties. (If you've defined a custom PIF file for the
program you run in MS-DOS mode, follow this procedure using that file's
icon instead.)
Step 2 Click on the Program tab and click on the Advanced button to
display the Advanced Program Settings dialog box.
Step 3 Make sure there's a checkmark in the box labeled MS-DOS Mode, then
select the option labeled Specify a New MS-DOS Configuration.
Step 4 Click on the Configuration button to display a dialog box with
four additional options. Check the box labeled Disk Cache and click on
OK.
Step 5 Click on OK to close the Advanced Program Settings dialog box and
Properties dialog box.
The next time you exit to MS-DOS mode, Windows will load SmartDrive and
you should see snappier performance. The improvements will be especially
noticeable when you perform directory-intensive operations such as
Deltree on FAT32 drives. "

I know to theoretical ways to do this. The only problem is that
I never tryed them.
First of all you should receive the form page you want. Now the
things split up:
1) You can receive the page in HTML format with the DEEP
command ( you have to send the command to a www4mail server )
deep URL
You will receive a web page attached at your e-mail.
The page received looks a bit different than a usual web page.
At the bottom of the page you will see a form ( if you want, the
second form of the page ).
This second form allows you to fill the page and send it
through e-mail. You'll send the filled form using your
browser e-mail program.
2) The second way is to receive the page in text mode
with the SEND command.
Now you will receive THE PAGE in your e-mail. The e-mail
contains a "text mode form". Fill it and send it.
As I told you, I never tryed to send a filled form useing e-mail.
Let me know if it works.

a reply which said it has found xxxx results, the query results will be
mailed back in a separated mail. But the separated mail I received still
has no contents but is empty, apart from such as xxxx results
information. Did any one encountered same problem or just was me unluck,
or did I do anything wrong?

It certainly possible to find out such information, and it is relatively
easy for someone who has only e-mail access to the Internet.
First off, the example you've provides has the typical form of Internet
address provided by Internic, the central American registry for issuing
Internet domain names.
Secondly, such a site can be queried by the Agora class of e-mail
servers.
Therefore, to find the location of the site you've given, the proper
message would be:
TO: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
SUBJECT: [Nothing need be added here]
BODY: send http://rs.internic.net/cgi-bin/whois?STRING=site.com

Global Positioning Satellites [System] GPS for short. The unit that you
carry is a receiver only, though the version that you referred to has
extra features that are common in the more expensive units. The basic
unit just gives your location, readings repeatable to within a few feet,
though the numbers are not as accurate as that, for reasons other than
technical.

What do we get this, about twice a month or so?
MOST, if not all, HTTP sites block this.
Some, few, have a way to get at the http directories via FTP, without
restricting read as well as write to the directory owner. FINDING these
is another thing. Most often it is a shared FTP/HTTP directory, likely
with ftp://ftp.site.name/pub/users/user.name/... being the same as
http://www.site.name/~user.name/... Where: www. and ftp. may be optional,
required, or not there, independently; site.name and user.name are the
ISP site and user information. Variations on this theme are not
uncommon.

If you read the ACCMAIL FAQ you would see this:
SPECIAL NOTE: For DOS users, there is an EXECUTABLE ASCII version of
the UUDECODE.COM program available. This is a rare exception to the
rule that executable files must be encoded to survive E-Mail
transmission. You can receive it via E-Mail and execute it "as is". To
get a copy, send E-Mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with Subject: send
uudecode.com (must be lowercase). For further info on using uudecode,
request the "uudecode.how" file.

Hi,
Does anyone know how to view a web pages whis are retrieved by e-mail?
And I hve taken this file by using the source command. I have tried
the explorer but it won't work.
Are these files supposed to be uudecoded first?
If yes, where to find the program.
