I am running TSM 5.1.3 on an AIX platform. I created a backupset for a
customer and now they want to know how much data was backed up to it. I can
tell them the amount of objects but not the amount of data. Does anyone
know how to get this information?

I am running TSM Version 5.1 server code on AIX and Solaris servers. I am
being directed to install the ADSM Cops utility but the documentation says
the newest supported version is TSM 4.2. Is anyone running ADSM Cops on TSM
5.1? Thanks in advance.
Linda Seeba Phone
We have upgraded TSM server code from 3.7, 4.1, and 4.2 to 5.1.0 with no
problems. Then it would let us go to 5.1.3. You do have to redefine your
licenses.

SanEnergy but we
haven't looked at this.
The only problem we have had is storage agent sessions that start every
couple of hours and hang up on the TSM server. So far it seems they do not
time out. We have been cancelling them and are working with TSM support to
fix this problem.

I am currently defining a Solaris server with TSM 4.2.1 and an IBM 3583
LTO Library connected to a SAN. I also have one Solaris client connected
to the SAN that will be doing LanFree backups. Has anyone seen the 4.2.1
problems on Solaris or is it just an AIX issue.

should be fixed in TSM 4.1.3 which is supposed to be released the end of

If you cannot find what is using your tape by entering the q session
command you can try the q process command. There are other jobs that
could be using the tape. If a process has your tape then just cancel the
process.
