This is correct to some extent. I think if Rahman released a personal album with "Yeh jo desh hay tera" it should have been much more applealing to general listeners.

That's tru I think songs in RDB were picurised excellently well.
Mangal Pandey the movie itslf wasn't good. Anyway rather than saying
Sir ARR should stop composing for movies altogether, i would say he
should work with directors who can appriciate music like Subhash

As much as it sucks to see one of ARR's songs not picturized fully,
the songs are there to serve the film, not the other way around. If
the director only wants to use a song for a background piece, then its
his prerogative.
