First post indeed, and to me it is nothing more than a commercial for

v6.3.1 sounds best for me, but v7.3.3 doesn't sound bad at all either...

I solved my "problem" with an attenuator made with 2 resistors. I didn't
know that this does not affect the sound. Thank you all for your
thoughts.

I tried 2 resistors of 10K on each channel. It seems to be fine, or
should I use any higher/lower resistor?

Harman/Kardon HK6650R, not that it can't handle the input. I prefer to
have more angle to graduate the volume. Now when it is 1/4 open, the
volume is already too high for me.

I was more thinking of putting in some resistors in the line out. But do
these affect the sound quality?

Recently I bought a Lite DAC-AH. I like it a lot more than the internal
DAC of my SB2. My problem is that the output level of the Lite DAC is
so high that I have difficulties using the volume button on my
amplifier. What is the best audiophile way to lower the output level of
my DAC?

In the player settings - audio you can turn off replaygain to be sure
there is no volume change.

the opamp. The opamp was
a big difference, wider, clearer sound.
But now with all 3 mod's together, comparing with the original box of
my neighbour, I can say that there is so much better sound, for so
little cost.
