I'm wondering if there is any less-intrusive option for backing up
"interminnently connected" hosts (like my wife's laptop :-)).
At first I had a static schedule which would backup the client every day
at 9am or so.
That of course would make backups skipped if the laptop was no

maybe a hacky solution, but would work: only start the fd on the laptop,
when you want to run a backup? (Or auto-start it, when the laptop is up
for >2h and no video conference software was started, etc.?)

Well, that is some idea. As it is probably relatively obvious, the
solution has to be simple so I can tell my wife "click here" an that's
it. Maybe I should do a script that would turn the service on/of.

yes, you can have restricted accounts in bareos-webui. Last time i tried
this i got stuck because at that time bareos-webui didn't support
multiple catalogs (which would have been the most obvious way to
