They are late but a large flock has finally arrived. At noon today and for
90 minutes afterwards flocks of Snow Geese, mostly Greater Snows but with
some Lessers settled in to the sod farm east of Casselman. By the time I
left there were about 35,000 present with another 5000 northeast of St.

As found by Logan and Trevor Baldwin yesterday, and again this morning,
there is currently a Cattle Egret about 5 km north of Angus. The bird is on
the north side of Concession Road 3, about 1.7 km east of County Road 10.
As an added bonus there was also a Northern Shrike and Horned Lark

I just had a Loggerhead Shrike at our farm in Sebringville. I was
alerted to the call, and found the bird perched and calling in the trees at

As of around 3:30 this afternoon, the juvenile ARCTIC TERN found yesterday
by Ryan Griffiths was not definitely seen by numerous birders looking on
both the New York and Ontario sides of the Niagara River. There were even
kayakers looking for it around Strawberry and Frog Islands. There are quite
