No phalaropes were present today in the south cell of nonquon sewage lagoons in
port Perry. I did not exam all cells in the lagoons. There were notably less
shorebirds this morning although both short-billed dowitcher and pectoral
sandpipers were amongst the more common birds.

The Red-necked Phalarope was still present in the eastern most lagoon of the
Port Perry Sewage Lagoons at 4 pm today.
Access to the lagoons is from the east end of Conc. 8 off of Simcoe street
north in Port Perry.
