The following code fails whenever the specified date is different from
`now`:
$ mkdir testdir; chmod 777 testdir; cd testdir
$ touch file; chmod 777 file
$ su another_user
$ touch -d 'now' file # works
$ touch -d 'yesterday' file # fails
