I think I might have to rub thier head with my fists. HAAHAHAA
Just kidding. Rubbing is racing. Especially on the dirt.
I am already looking forward to reskinning the car with a new body next
year. I know I can make it so much better looking.
My dad and I joke that the car looks like it was built

A few guys have been writing asking what is going on with my El Camino. The
last time I spoke with Ron, he said he was just waiting for it to get warmer
so that the paint would dry properly. I called over there today and got some
pretty sketchy news, which I'm not thrilled about. I'm waiting to hea
Looking for some info on GM Rally wheels... anyone know the weight of one say 15x8? Also anyone know of a good source? I would like to get a set of the skinniest ones I can find... 5 or 6 if possible and either 8 or 10's... all 15" diameter. I have been thinking of waiting to hit the swaps...

Because of the short stroke (3") a 283 can really wind up but it's doubtful
you'll ever need its full capacity for a daily driver.
1. What rear gears do you have?
2. What do you know about the bearings and rod bolts used for the rebuild? Or
is this an all-original 283?
I don't think you'll e
I' ve meet a couple unknowing people who have bought 136 Malibu's decked
out in SS emblems - passed off as real Super Sports. My mission: to

My Chilton's only goes up to '71 but the 350 there is 16 quarts; big
blocks were 23 quarts. When filling, be sure it's up to temp and the
heater valve is open - there's coolant in there as well.

For a stock 283 engine, I'd say 3500/4000 tops. Remember, it's a
"limiter" and not a shift indicator.

I purchased the Crane Cams unit. The Rev limiter on the unit goes up to
8000. What would be the recommended rev limit on a 64 283cu Chevelle so I
know how to set it when I install it?
Thanks,
Gary

The axle stamped code is on the front of the pass
side tube. I have seen them all along the tube between center section and spring
flange.
There is also a cast date code in the center
section back side in the rib corner. You need the cast date code to
tell what car it is from.
