Went down to the Platte at Florida St. Friday, looking for the
reported Long-tailed Duck. Thought I'd found it, but now that I look
at the photos, I think it's a molting or juvi Pintail. See what you
think. There was a beautiful male Common Mergansers, Hooded

I was just on Jack Siler's eBird rarity map
(http://birdingonthe.net/gmaps/eBirdMap.html) and noticed a report of 2 Great
Gray Owls just north of the border near Cheyenne, WY. Of course, who knows how
reliable that report is. Not exactly where I'd expect one to show up.

While sitting here working I noticed a raptor working the hillside. I grabbed
the bins and sure enough, it was an adult NORTHERN GOSHAWK. It has now been
actively hunting the hillside for ~25 minutes. There is also a RED-TAILED HAWK

Arrived early before the snow started and put out some seed. Lots of
