If it is an 1973 *DO NOT TAKE THE BATTERY OUT* when it is receiving power over
the USB.
The procedure for recover a dead battery on the 1973 is:
1. Leave the unit wit
Try leaving the battery out over night then reinserting it and charging it.
I've got a neo1973 on its original battery so yours should still work
You can get a very cheap battery and charger from ebay, I provided a

well I've used a usb cable to boot a not-so-dead neo, and a nokia
battery to boot one that was turned off for like a week

you may need to get a charged battery for instance from a Nokia lc5 or lc6.
