Yep, agreed - someone needs to look to the Red Hat gang for help on that
one I'm afraid. They have it working fine in 2.4.18. I know there have
been several cracks at fixing this in MDK, so here's to hoping Pixel
nails it. I really don't want to continue using RH if at all possible.

Vox...
I reported it as bug 1801 a few weeks ago. Several attempts at fixes
have been made, but as of RC2 it's still broke. Badly.
MDK 9.0 was really weird. It would boot off the CD, then when it
detected the IDE controllers, it would suddenly lose the CD-ROM drives

As an aside...
I've not been able to use Mandrake since 9.0. I've been hoping that the
PDC20276 problems would be fixed with 9.1, but from the looks of the
release candidates and betas it doesn't look like that's the case.

MBFastTrak133), I see in ctrl-alt-f3 that it is complaining:
"Missing module ataraid"

Hi all... here to report a problem...
On Mandrake 9.0, my Asus P4B533-E refused to install from the CDROM (and
yes, they're known good CDROMs - I installed them on other machines).
After loading and detecting the hard drive on the ATA133 controller, the
CDROM drives suddenly disappeared and could
