it should not. The only thing that would cause pb would be devfsd
non-installed.

For some time already (since kernel 2.4.18-20mdk apparently), the
statement "devfs=mount" is not added to the append line in
/etc/lilo.conf. Adding it manually makes devfs mounted again en devfsd
loading ok.
Why it is not added anymore?
