I was in #gnome along with another person trying to debug why we would
get an error when trying to load deskbar-applet.
This bug was reported a few months back. Can you please fix it, I am
sure it annoys new users as it did me.

I tried upgrading libpango to a version from ubuntu, that failed because
of dependencies. So I downgraded back to unstable, and I no longer have
the problem.
Many this bug should be forwarded to libpango?
