I have the same problem. I doesn't happen only when I go away. As soon
as I log in and pidgin tries to connect, it crashes. I use a HSDPA
connection, so as long as I'm offline everything works fine. If I
start the connection and try to connect on pidgin, it crashes.

accounts do you have on pidgin (i.e., which protocols)? Does this
_only_ happen when you are away, or have you seen any other crash? How
often has this happened? When did it start? I know it is a tough call,
