Hi everybody!
I have a KDE with ALSA running and nearly everything works perfect. I can
play mp3 and wav with xmms and I can play wav with wavp on the console.
But I cannot hear the system signals from the KDE. Such as notify and so on.
Does someone of you know what is missing or perhaps where

Hast du dein Problem inzwischen gelöst?
Bei mir lag es daran, dass ich Woody als Default hatte und "apt-get -t
unstable install ..." eingeben musste, bevor es klappte. Vorher wollte
apt mir auch immer die alten Versionen andrehen.

I just installed Knoppix (www.knopper.net), which is based on woody.
After that, I thought, I can easily update my whole system to sarge.
So I changed my sources.list and added the deb line of Ralf Nolden:
