Hello,
so I have written an E-Mail to the original maintainer of parcellite
more than 2 days ago and haven't got any answer yet. Should I still wait
for an answer, or is anyone else interested in uploading this package?

Sure, this warning is not a reason to block an upload. Many packages in
the archive have this kind of warnings. They are not "bugs" but things

Hello,
well, I'm not sure how I could drop -lpthread. Like I said, there is no
reference to the pthread lib in any of my source files (beside the
obvious call to pthread_exit), so this must come from some of the stuff
that ./configure runs, and I am not sure how I could drop it from there.

Maybe -Wl,--as-needed is not smart enough to cover this case. Entirely
dropping the -lpthread is the only way to fix this apparen
Hello,
I have updated the package now and removed all of the references to
pthread.h, but it still includes it, and I have no idea why (any help on
this would be appreciated).
P.S. I find it odd that it includes the package even if there's no
referece to it and I also use -Wl,--as-needed...

Hello,
thanks for your reply! I have also tried removing the reference to
pthread.h in my program, hoping that it would take the symbols from
libc, but I still got the same warning from dpkg-shlibdeps.
So, should I put the reference to pthread back in and leave it like that

Hello,
I have moved the autogen.sh call before dh_auto_configure and have also
managed to fix the gettext problem by replacing the gettext command with
autopoint. autopoint does basically the same thing as gettext, but
without that naging user input request.
I haven't made these changes upstream

I have managed to get rid of the dpkg-shlibdeps warning by using the
flag '-Wl,--as-needed'. I have also solved the autogen.sh problem by
overriding dh_clean like this:

Hello,
I have managed to fix almost all of the problems, beside two. The first
one being the "dpkg-shlibdeps" warnings. I cannot figure out where they
come from. When I created the control file, I have only put as
dependency the following things:
Build-Depends: debhelper (>= 7.0.50~), libgtk2.0-d
