I will add elftoaout.c directly to the GRUB sources. It needs some clean up so
that it builds without -Werror, but I already have a test pack

I had a problem with the driver, but i disconnected the second loop to the
drive backplane, and it worked.
It's a long shot, but i guess you could try?
