My vanilla install of karmic, didn't autologin, but this worked for me

I tried it today at school on Jaunty - no problem seen. NB this is a
different single email account.
On my current (LTS) Hardy, if I backup choosing not to restart Evolution
after the backup. the backup apparently does not happen, and on restart
I get the "Evolution appears to have exited unexpec
closing the bug since that works now
