When I shutdown from gnome-panel.. ubuntu only log off.
Then if i suthdown in gdm, it works fine.
Im running a Dapper system... With the lastest updates..

That's not a crash that's why there is no backtrace.
How can make backtrace?
Do you run gaim as root?
No
Are you using KDE?
No. Only Skype with QT
It's weird it tries to create a /root/.kde/socket-ubuntu since Ubuntu uses
GNOME and has not root account, did you tweak that?
