Public bug reported:
When network proxy settings change, the default values of http_proxy,
ftp_proxy, and https_proxy are not updated. New terminal sessions still
have the old proxy settings. To work around this, I have to manually
unset the variables every time I start a new terminal session.
I haven't seen this problem in 10.10.

I just hit a related issue when moving my home directory from one system
to another. After moving the data from my home directory (including
~/.pulse), the sound applet stopped responding. On startup, it would
say "Waiting for sound system to respond". After deleting ~/.pulse and
rebooting, the
Thanks for following up on this so quickly. If you find that it works
in Maverick, let's just close this bug and assume that it was fixed in a
later release of evince.

Sorry, I don't have Lucid installed. I use Ubuntu for work, so I'd
rather not risk upgrading to a beta release. Maybe someone else that's
already running Lucid can try printing page 8 of the PDF that's attached
to this bug?

When I print the KQED program guide from March, 2010, the printing
process hangs. I did some troubleshooting and found out that pages 1-7
print just fine, but page 8 causes foomatic-rip to use 100% CPU. From
what I can tell, the job never gets to
Even better: Nautilus' own CD copy feature won't work with ~/.gvfs:
* Go to "Computer"
* Right click on the CD icon
* Choose "Copy Disc..."
* Click "Write"
* Notice that the mounts are not displayed under "Places"
* Type the path under ~/.gvfs in the "Name" text box
* Hit OK
A dialog pops up: "Fi
I hit this problem too. When DVD Decrypter tries to write to my NAS
share via ~/.gvfs, it keeps complaining that there's no space available.
If I mount the share with "mount -t cifs", DVD Decrypter detects the
amount of free space correctly. It is possible to copy files via
~/.gvfs, but this bug
Another vote for this one. I'm a pretty advanced user, and spent 5
minutes today looking for files that disappeared after I misclicked.
Nautilus should definitely offer the option to confirm before moving or
deleting. Displaying the details of the operation in the status bar
would also be helpful
