How would you suggest I fix this? Even if I read every .desktop file
that Alacarte had changed and updated the Exec that wouldn't be right,
people change the Exec lines on purpose (to add nonXgl or aoss, for
example). There is no way to automatically know when this should happen.

Human will remain the default icon set for Ubuntu for the forseeable
future. Mark has said that he wants Ubuntu to have it's own look, not
just use Tango icons and look like every other distro. Personally, I'd
prefer the Tangerine icon set as it's an Ubuntu-themed version of Tango
and thus fits in
Sorry, rather busy with school and such right now, I'll be lucky to get
an 0.10.0 release out at all for GNOME 2.16. Will look at this when more
free time develops.

I think he means you can't make an empty menu visible, like the debian
menu. It doesn't to anything if you try to tick the checkbox on one of

I would think this is an alacarte bug but I can't get it to make a file
called 'Applications.menu' since that one already exists for the root
menu (which is why hiding it makes your menu go away). I have seen a
couple of other people say trying to hide the gnome-pim menu entries
makes their menu
Those are unrelated warnings. Does your menu update after you logout and
back in?
