The situation still exists on my Ubuntu 9.10 with gedit 2.28.0. But I found a workaround. Try the following: >From Menu Tools>Manage Sinppets... Click "import snippets" button. You should be able to select the file and import it. -- Snippets doesn't allow to "import snippets" https://bugs.launch
