The bug also affects my PC since yesterday. Ubuntu 20.04 Xorg, 2 screens
(HDMI and a DVI connector) connected running on a propetary NVidia

Thanks but those are both Chrome crashes. What I was looking for was a
crash in 'gnome-shell'. If you don't have any of those then that's
probably not the issue.

Hi Daniel,
I did see a crash in google-chrome that seemed to coincide with the
login freeze a couple of times, but I've also seen the login freeze
occur without any crash files appearing in /var/crash.
I tried, unplugging any external monitors and I haven't witnessed the
problem occurring without
apport information
