What are you trying to use ecryptfs for, in this case? Are you trying
to use the Encrypted Private Directory feature of Intrepid?
If so, note bug #255799, which is a Wishlist known issue, asking for
pam_ecryptfs to support fingerprint readers.

I didn't have any special purpose in mind. In fact, I just wasn't able
to login w/o modprobing ecryptfs!
It's gone by now though the module doesn't get loaded automatically. I
