One more question: Did this happen on edgy, dapper? And where you can
find avc1 encoder? For me, totem just shows totem could not play ...
message and does not crash.

I thought my distribution is written in the file attached. I have
Dapper. I tried it on another computer with Edgy, and it crashed again
(another report attached).
Maybe you don't have all codecs installed. I have all codecs from this howto:
