Thank your for your bug. Some people like that feature, some people
don't. That's way faster to preview a song that way than running an
application. We have no plan to divert from upstream for that, marking
the feature request as rejected then.

i agree 100% on all of this, actually i'd make it plain black this way
it won't clash with the user's desktop theme should she/he decide not to
use the default human theme, that brown background that pops up before
logging in is horrible

I've located the problem. It stems from cups not sending back the full
DeviceURI, but rather a sanitized version (read: with all the
authentication stuff removed).
I've got a patch on my system that makes cups only remove the password.
We need to evaluate whether or not this poses a security risk
Oh, and I've got a fix for the password thing too. :-)

Set the GST_TAG_ENCODING or GST_ID3_TAG_ENCODING or
GST_ID3V1_TAG_ENCODING environment variable to the charset you want to
force.
(This is a problem that can't really be solved satisfactorily otherwise
with ID3v1).
You might need to remove your ~/.gnome2/rhythmbox/rhythmdb.xml and make
rhythmbox

[Dapper] Difficulties trying to change the Ubuntu logo in the main menu
I can confirm this bug happens with Nautilus 2.14.1-0ubuntu7. I cannot
confirm the last part of the bug, as this bug does NOT appear with two
nautilus sessions running. If I remove a file from one, both of them
report a loss of one file. This bug is present using terminal/nautilus,

this works in fedora, so if it's true (and the author of that mail is the
maintainer of nautilus so i guess it's true), there is code to do that and it
should be doable without writing new code.

Well, I tried it in dapper as of 16th may 06 with all updates, and still
the same old problem. Auto doesnt work, but vfat does.
I wish devs would take thsi more seriously, just because not everyone
uses the nice USB memory sticks, users like charities
do you still have this issue?

There probably is a reason for this. The archive manager does not know
