Sure, I could file another Xorg bug.
But, like I said (maybe not clearly), I don't think this is a Xorg issue at all.
The problem is in Unity, I think.
With workspaces enabled, the overlay becomes too big for a screen with a height
of 768 (or less), so it's not displayed.
But, if you insist I wi
@penalvch , should I just run that as a liveCD or do I need to actually
upgrade my system to it. If so , is there a way to upgrade or will I
need to reinstall?

I have the same problem. My laptop has a resolution of 1366x768.
The shortcuts overlay only appears when workspaces are disabled.
But, when using an external monitor with a higher resolution (height), the
edubkendo, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release
of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com
