Hi,
For 'digital zoom', Telescope uses the videobox gst element. Maybe
that's where the problem is.
Unfortunately, I don't have much time to debug it myself on a 1.75
right now.
Also, from what I gather, the digital zoom does work on a xo 1.5, so
th
Graphics drivers aren't fully optimized yet for XO-1.75, and we're not
using hardware floating point at all in our builds yet, so
measurements using present builds may greatly undersell the XO-1.75's
capabilities.We're working on it!
The ARM chipset is very similar to that used in

Hi,
We're pleased to announce the release of OLPC OS 11.3.0 for XO-1,
XO-1.5 and as a provisional release for XO-1.75. Details of new
features, known issues, and how to download/install/upgrade can all be
found in the release notes:

I'm not aware of any comprehensive performance assessments.
Have you got an XO-1.75 yet?
Performance is a design goal of OLPC, but it isn't first in the list.
The full list is:
1. Safe -- no children should be harmed
2. Stylish and Usable -- something children want to own
3. Lowest Power --
I am trying to get some idea of the performance of the XO-1.75
relative to other devices on the market.
For instance, how would it compare against an iPad 1/2 and iPhone
4/4S? My guess is that the Armada 610 SoC that we use would come out
somewhere in between the A4 chip used in the original iPad
Hi,
Possibly the most important thing in this context is Daniel Drake's
usbmount script system. This allows the content to be installed by these
scripts after the original XS is installed.
The principle packages in Nepal's XS are documented in detail in these

Hi Tony,
interesting. Can you give us a summary of what the special sauce is
for the Nepal XS? Are there things that could be rolled into the
mainline XS?
cheers,

it seems that there's more interest in bluetooth support on the XO
laptops than there has been in the past -- unsurprising, i guess,
given the number of bt devices now available.
i don't know how quickly we can get the support into an OLPC release, but
regardless, i'd like to solicit input on what
