Just wondering whether it's possible to get the $.getJSON -generated
object into local scope? Something along the lines of this:

i try to use the $.getJSON function to get some JSON data from my php

.getJSON is not implemented in the public jquery version. You have to
download the source from svn.
Or you can use the old style:
$.get(src, {data},function(json) {your code},json);
My browser (Firefox) is reporting $.getJSON is not a function.
There's been a lot of confusion out there as to what functions are
available in which versions or plugins.
Would it be possible to add that information to the API documentation?
I'd like to see the version number it was added and - if it's in a
plugin - in which file.
