I don't see a reason whey they shouldn't work together.

Michael thanks for the reply and have tried that as well. Vista, SC, and
unRAID just does not play well...I am moving to FreeNAS and read about
SlimNAS over on the FreeNAS forum, which I understand you developed. I
am excited about this and will configure/install this weekend. What

I have Vista 64 and unRAID as my NAS. I can map to unRAID fine form
Vista and access the share with out issues. I have installed both 7.1
and 7.3 SC and set up the music directories accordingly, which is a
mapped drive back to my unRAID NAS. The issue is I can not seem to
access the "music folder"
Please give us some more details about your system, installation, log messages
etc. Can you scan your music at all?

I am having the same issue but from a Vista 64 box. All my data is a on

jjst hangs on "music folder." Very frustrating and I may install an
older version of SS. Any have any ideas what the issue could be as I

Its a Mac mini G4 PPC 1.42 GHz with 1GB RAM running OS 10.4.11 with all

perhaps that is a clue, because I applied that security update around

Michael,
I couldn't browse anything when I tried the browse by Music Folder
option. It would just say loading music folder, and then time out.
However the problem has not repeated in the last 24 hours since I
restarted the entire system. It would have been the first
troubleshooting step to try on
Nikhil - do you have a chance to find out what files/folder you might be
browsing when you're encountering this issue?

I just noticed the same (or a similar) thing, and I'm quite frustrated.
For me the Browse by Music Folder seems to work from the SqueezeCenter,
but doesn't even show up as an option any more on the Squeezebox
Controller remote. Anyone know how to get it back?

I can't browse by Music Folder after the 7.1 update. Running OS X
(10.4.11) PPC, updated from SS 7.0. All other browsing methods like
Artist, Album, New Music, etc are working fine. On the SB2 menu, it
says 'Loading Music Folder ...' and then times out. On the web
interface, nothing happens when I
