I've taken a look over both of those pages but it's not quite what I'm
seeing . . . my iTunes library has about 10 playlists in it but
SlimServer doesn't seem to be seeing any of them - I have no playlists
showing on the Squeezebox or on the web interface (as opposed to people
having empty
Thanks, after several un/reinstalls I've managed to get 6.5 working -
however I've still got my original problem which caused me to upgrade
in the first place . . . SlimServer isn't picking up any of my iTunes
playlists.

I've seen the same behaviour, and nothing was improved by jumping all
the way up to 6.5 instead. I'm going to try and downgrade to a nightly
build of 6.3 and see if that fix's things

jodrell, If you upgrade / downgrade to / from 6.5 to any other version -
it is worth deleting your database slimserversql.db file entirely before
doing the upgrade / downgrade.
For what it's worth, I'm very happy with 6.3 currently (although it's
still pre-release).

erm, tried the up/downgrade with no joy (6.3 stays up for about 30
seconds before going away again) . . . where do I find the
slimserversql.db so that I can delete it?? I'm running it on OSX

That sounds pretty much like the problem I had until I deleted the db.
The build of the database is very different between 6.2/3 and 6.5
branches.
See the 6th or 7th post in this thread for details relevant to mac
setup.
I have been an avid user of Slimserver for almost 2 years, but my recent
upgrade from 6.1 to 6.2.2 has caused my itunes playlists to lose their
contents, even though the playlist names are still visible on my SB v3.
No amount of rescans etc brings the playlist contents to life.
Nothing else has
but my recent
upgrade from 6.1 to 6.2.2 has caused my itunes playlists to
lose their
contents, even though the playlist names are still visible on
my SB v3.
The fix seems to be to clear the value of Server
Settings-iTunes-iTunes Music Folder and rescan.

Running 6.3.x
I've discovered why all tracks were shown twice in the playlist: they
existed twice in the albums... Am having a full rescan and so far it
looks ok.

I was having a few problems (none of the ones you had though) with 6.2.2
this morning and went back to 6.2.1 and all is well once again.
