@gunnarhj, Ubuntu Kylin doesn't have seed, we only use default-settings
package to customize.

Today, on an updated 14.04, I was able to use Super+Space as the
keyboard shortcut for switching to next input source. So that problem
seems to have been fixed.

Correct me if i'm wrong but I was under the impression that login as
root was disabled by default in Ubuntu. In order to do it you need to
use sudo to give yourself root permissions (which then let you log in as
any user).
Try this:
sudo su

To be honest I don't quite understand what you say. But in any case it
does not seem to be about an issue with the documentation.
Can you possibly explain a little more, so we can change the affected
package to something more correct.
