OK.
Got the power supply and receiver going. Now I need to work out the
Transmitter.
I am not getting any drive at all. I adjusted the bias. The relays are
operating. However, I get about 1 to 3 watts out and that is it. There
is almost no current at all.
There is also a loud pop in the

due to Drake's use of an L/C network to achieve variably selectivity, whil
I would like to hear from those of you who have

I am interested in a nice TR4
transceiver. KE8NP
Have you measured the line voltage. I find in our area it is not uncommon
to see about 122 VAC which can affect your PS voltages.

Don't know if this will help you out, but I just measured the voltages coming out of my stock AC-4 power supply (NOT connected to the radio):
Hi Voltage: 698 volts
Low Voltage: 268 volts
Bias Voltage: -54 volts
Your power supply may be ok, but the voltages are a little high. Maybe someone more
Hi Dick,
I had that happen to the bandswitch of my T-4XC. I managed to glue the two halves together, and am now using that knob for the GAIN control (much less torque). It looks pretty good, but I know it is still there.
You might want to search past posts; I believe someone did have a source.
Hello Vance,
I remember that the OA2 tube is a voltage regulator tube. Perhaps power supply voltages would be the first thing to look at.
If you are looking for someone professional to repair it, the following web page should be helpful. (This site should be helpful to writers of other recent p
Hello all,
This morning the on/off/mode knob of my T4XC

supply. Just in case they dont, has anyone a few (one replacement and two
spare..) for me?
