"bug" from it, and ordered a KX1 recently.
My various disabilities had led me to get help (meaning build it for me)

I have had a few full break in rigs in the distant past, and back then,
I was disappointed; for the last 30 years most of my operating has been
semi-break in, and now with the K2, full break in, and I find I really
love it; it is a real pleasure to use - for example, in the recent IARU

I'm considering ordering a K2/100 transceiver and I'm concerned about the lack
of a front panel MOX or SEND button . I've read alot of the posts on the

Hi George,
The only voltages you quote that are a bit low are derived
by the AGC and they would be low with the set out of alignment anyway,
If you are getting the broadcast station by touching pin 4 of U2, the audio
stages are working anyway!
Don't get mixed up with the voltages
I have A Yaesu FT 900 and the knob has a really yucky feel to it. It
just makes my fingers feel so bad. Has anyone ever tried putting a K2
knob on their Yaesu rig. It would be a great improvement. ;o)

BTW - for those who might be interested in really trivial facts, the stock
K2 knob does fit on this transceiver too, so if you are interested in just
swapping them ...
