Speaking of Steve KD1JV - he just announced an upcoming ("sometime before
Christmas") new kit today. In a departure from his usual CW kits this one will
be for SSB/digital modes.

others as you can. For those who don't have an original one, the new version
will hopefully come to fruition.
Details are updated daily on the "qrp-tech" YahooGroup.

I recently built a 630m transverter that some here may be interested in knowing
about. It went together easily, has a small parts count and works quite well
(into a dummy load for now):

I notice that the KX2's narrow dynamic range is tested at a 3 kHz bandwidth.
Other radios on Sherwood's list are measured at either 2, 3 and 5 kHz. Doesn't
this make direct comparison between various radios (and list order - since they
are listed by dynamic range order) invalid?
I haven't seen this mentioned here yet...KX2 receiver specs were added

I hope the KX4 will be a digital-friendly KX2. Similar in size and form-factor
as the KX2 but with digital in/outputs & CAT via RJ45 (similar to Flex
600-series' DAX) for those who choose to use it as such; same LCD display as
the KX2.

Well that was fun! Only time for one QSO and it was with Dale WA8SRA (K3, 500

going on later when I have more time to play. Nice to see 10m being opened by a

I'm curious if synchronous detection could be implemented on the KX2 via a
future firmware upgrade. During summer lulls in my ham band activity I enjoy a
bit of SWLing from time to time and would love to have this feature if it's
possible.

Does anyone happen to have the list of commands that can be inputted into the

externally. And sometimes both at the same time.
