I realized there will be attenuation at higher frequencies, but I wasn't

Red on LEFT looking *into* the connectors (from the pluggable side), or
Red on RIGHT looking down the wire *at* the connectors.
Tonuge down in either case.

Well, it *is* an ETLA (extended three-letter acrynym), which is
something I had to deal with a lot at Intel -- they love TLAs and ETLAs
like only aerospace folks would understand.
