is there a need for the handle? My K3 will live on a desk and never be
moved or dragged around. Eventually, the rest of the K-Line will join it
on the desk.

Setting my P3 to the left of the K3 caused the K3 Handle to expand to the point
of pushing the P3 1/2" from where it was originally on the OP.
Investigation of my logs indicates that the phenomenon may have been caused by
the daily rate of increased DX contacts in the log since acquiring th
