Hi all, When the firmware for any of the hostmot supported Mesa boards is loaded on running EMC, does it zero the encoder values? IOW, if I run EMC, then shut it down but leave the computer running, then manually move the axes, when EMC is restarted, what values will the firmware be holding for th

Peter, Thanks. That is basically what I thought. It has been reported to me that, in a servo / encoder system, if EMC is shut down, then one or more axes are moved and finally EMC is restarted, upon clearing the e-stop a runaway condition occurs (at least sometimes). I have to get more information
