Lisa,
I wish with all my heart that no one ever had to endure this pain. Does the time together make up for the pain of separation? Eventually, it does. It seems to take a long time to get to that point though.
You and Akira were a great team. I am amazed at what my cats have taught me abou

Lisa,
What a lucky day for Akira when she crossed
your path. I know she realized how much you cared and loved her and also
knew how much you would miss each other.
I am glad that she is at peace, and you have

I am sorry for Akira. You gave everything possible...
I believe that all research in this field will give a result and in 3-5 years we will have a treatment to that disastrous disease.

Lisa, I'm crying as if she were my own. My heart breaks for you and your babies. So much death I'm almost afraid to read my mail these days. She was so blessed to have you for a mommy and her little spirit will be near you always. Please give your babies plenty of kisses, hugs and headbutts for all
Thank you so very much for sharing with us. I can't speak for the others
on this list, but your sharing for me it has been a God Send. In 2
weeks I lost 2 of my + babies and these babies are very special. I
remember when they were being put down right and left. I started
rescuing them 14yrs. ago,
that's be my guess, too--that, or that he's so confused about the
change in the energy in the house--and the grief--that he doesn't know
how to deal with it and wants away from it

Lisa,
He could be looking for Akira. Is there any way you could set up an air-lock type of entry? so there would be two doors to actually get out? that way you could stop him in between and then push him back inside before you go out. He could want another kitty companion.. Was he able to say
Oh Lisa, I am so sorry. There is nothing I can say to add to what you've written. What a special lifetime you two shared together, even though it was too short. I have been thinking about you, and I hope you know everyone is here for you even though we can't actually be with you in person.

Lisa,
Thank you for your wonderful tribute to Akira, and for her brave fight.
I think you prob. interrupted the "Why God" question correctly...we don't often get the answer we want...we get the one we need...and like you decided earlier...Akira was ready to go. I'm just sorry she went so young
OH Lisa, I'm crying with you reading this. I've followed yours and Akira's story from the start and have been so proud of you both for the effort put forth in learning and teaching each other about cats and people. You feel calm, apart from the incessant tears, because you know in your heart that
