I compiled ffmpeg(4.3.1) with the following configuration on Linux:
./configure --prefix= ~/wk/install/ffmpeg --enable-pic --disable-ffplay
--disable-ffprobe --enable-static --enable-gpl
--enable-libx264 --extra-cflags="-fpic"
ffmpeg was compiled successfully.
