How exactly do you handle a buck to get the point across that it is not
aceptable? My mare will occassionally buck if startled or in a really
exuberent mood. They are small shrugs and I just push her forward
and growl

Lite says. Sounds like an interesting feed, I assume for overweight horses?
I've had a couple horses do the head toss, as a matter of fact a mare I just
