Is there some sort of step-by-step for putting a Flex (specifically a 1500)
on psk? Can't seem to find a lot but I'm a newbie to SDR and I'm just
getting set up.

Still setting up a 1500 here and the issue of the moment is noise
threshold.
I am in the country and the radio I removed to replace with the 1500 had a
noise level of S1 or so. With the 1500, I am up around S5 as baseline noise
level. Nothing else has changed.

Thanks to the many who emailed off list. I much appreciate it and the
questions likely have just started. Do have a computer now and a 1500
on the way, so I should be up and running (I hope) in about a week.

I am totally new to the Flex, having seen it at one hamfest. I am not
a computer guy, though I am pretty competence as a ham (built a lot of
stuff, never owned a commercial antenna, etc.). I recently switched
here from Windows and PCs to Mac (I'm a writer), and really would
