Jumping to Figure Captions

I inherited about 1,000 figures. Jumps are made from text to the figure cations, style "Caption." Problem is, the captions are underneath the figures, most of which are large, and the window scrolls the caption to the top of the page, which of course means the figure is "lost." I'm getting c

We had the same problem, and solved it by placing our figure captions ABOVE the figures. All figure and table captions are above the item they are referencing, which creates a consistent look throughout our docs. Why the standard has always been for table titles to be ABOVE and figure captions to b
