Hey Jody, I know you may be full of work, but if you have a chance it'd be great if you could take a look at my comments on http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOT-1637 I have ported PostPreProcessFilterSplittingVisitor to use Capabilities instead of the deprecated geotools FilterCapabilities and
