At the 4th gvSIG conference they provided a 1.9 version with a working
sextante on it, so I guess it will be possible to replicate that in
more recent builds but as far as there is no Mac version I haven't
tried. If I recall Victor's words correctly, this is only a binding
question.

Sextante is included in gvSIG 1.9 alpha until build 1228. From that
build it's not already included by default, but Sextante and other
plugins have been prepared in order to make possible to install them on
the latest builds of gvSIG 1.9.
They are now available by ftp here:
