hi,
my name is Zohar, i'm Shachar Shemesh brother, and he told me about this
group and that you might be able to help me.
i have Ubuntu 7.10 kernel 2.6-22-14 generic installed on my computer, a few
weeks ago (after a long time in which i didn't) i let the auto upgrade do
its job. it downloaded
Hello Zohar. It sounds like you've stopped the computer and botched a
critical update. As Ubuntu 7.10 is no longer supported, the simplest
(by far) solution would be to save your /home/ directory then install

Personally, I'm a bit queasy about recommending 9.04 to people. It has too
many reports of sound and video not working for people. I would go with 8.10
for newbies.
I counter with Bluetooth not working in Kubuntu 8.10 (may not be an
issue for Ubuntu / Xubuntu users, but was for me) and video
