Hello Hist-world,
Does anyone have experience doing FISH/double IF staining? My newest project is
to combine a FISH probe (texas red) with anti-Staufen IF (green secondary) and
anti-MBNL1 IF (secondary TBD). So I've got a red, green, and blue (DAPI
counterstain) already. If I used a yellow
Hello Histo-land,
I'm going to start doing FISH in our lab, but I've never done it before. I read
that the PFA fixative solution should be made fresh; however, I have some PFA
that is being stored in the -80 freezer (for less than a year). Does anyone
know if this would be ok to use? And
Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone knows of a GI pathologist interested in doing a quick
side project as a consultant for the company I work for? If so, please message
me privately and I can give you the details.
Thanks so much,

Hi Histo-land,
I have a really quick question: about how long does it take to decal a bone
marrow biopsy?
Thanks a bunch!

Hello all,
We are in need of a HepB control block. Does anyone have any recommendations
for procuring this? I actually only need a few slides, so I’m just feeling
things out. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have to admit, I don't mind the smell:) But I also like the smell of
gasoline, and I know both are bad for me!
Thanks again to everyone who has offered feedback on this topic. Rene, I have
printed out a few of the articles you've written and am anxious to research
these methods more. Thanks

Hello all,
My lab is looking into xylene substitutes, and I'd love some feedback on what
other labs are using. We currently use SubX, but are there other items out
there more economical?
Thanks,

the article mentioned a microtome that could cut 50-2000, we are most
interested in the range around 50-150 microns.
Thanks,

Hello Histo-land,
We are a small biotech company seeking a part-time HT or HTL for our
laboratory.
This would be ideal for someone with a full-time job looking for additional
work
hours. As our work load fluctuates, you must be flexible and willing to go
with
the flow. Experience in
trouble setting up a
staining program), but I don't quite know if I'm going about it the right
way...or if there is one I can actually get.
Does anyone know anything about this type of stainer. Please help!
Thanks,
