supported)?

I was referring to control panel software such as tcadmin who needed to update
their query protocol. Because when the software (tcadmin) can't query the
server it automatically restarts the game server (which would look like the
server is crashing).
We had this problem and disabled the queries

You might want to double check that the correct sound recording device is
selected within FRAPS.. Then (if you have it), try adjusting the sound card
options from the sound card control panel, it might be a problem there and
not with FRAPS/TF2.. Maybe apply for a driver/firmware update for your car
We have released an update to the Half-Life 1 engine, run the
hldsupdatetool to get the update.
This update fixes the "Assert( IsIdxValid(i) )" and then crash error
when running a server and fixes a crash on startup under linux if you
had virtual interfaces.

Colocrossing, gigenet, steadfast and servercentral.
Those are your best bets in Chicago for gaming related servers.

I'd recommend Steadfast but they're expensive as hell.

Really? I've been using Branzone for quite some time now without any
problems. Brandon has always gone the extra mile for me when I've had
problems. As far as the routing issues go, I'd say toss in a ticket and see
if they can help you out :)

Anybody else experiencing mass disconnects from players? We have a

You shouldn't use fraps to record audio.

Thats odd..
After yesterdays update 'exec server.cfg' in the autoexec.cfg causes me to
crash right at the start of the server load. Dunno why it crashes me and not
you... anyways...
try adding to server.cfg:
// configuration file for dedicated servers
mapchangecfgfile "server.cfg"

Hi,
Give this a try. Add +voice_forcemicrecord 0 in the launch options.

Doesn't quite describe your problem, but the cvar looks promising to me!

Just out of curiosity do you have sometype of monitoring software installed? If
so it probably needs to be updated to prevent it from restarting your game
server because of the query change.

Hello,
first off, sorry for the small off-topic ... :)
I want to create live Videos of my TF2 server, but I have problems with
sound recording in Fraps.
The sound quality in TF2 is really bad, sounds like a microphone quality ...
But in Portal for example the quality is perfect.
I noticed,
Even with 'exec server.cfg' in autoexec.cfg on a mod-free server, it isn't
picking up server.cfg

I created a fresh CS server install, default config and it crashes after

Changing "exec server.cfg" to "bannedcfg banned.cfg" didn't work either.
I have switched our servers off for now, awaiting a fix.

No mods, liblist.gam is set to default settings.
"bannedcfg banned.cfg" is in server.cfg and the file exists. I've

After about 10mins the server will restart, no dump file and nothing in

Hi,
Kind of late on the reply to the OP, but just wanted to throw this out
there.
In my case, I own a bunch of physical servers which are mostly of the 2U
variety. I have got stuff hosted in Seattle and Washington DC at HopOne data
centers. There is not much downside for me at the moment... In my
