Maybe it's just me, but when I login to Facebook and search for
"International Radio Club of America" using the search box at the top of the
page, only six results appear and all have absolutely nothing to do with
IRCA! What am I doing wrong? Is there a direct URL to the page?

Hi all,
WXYQ has been off for the last 2-3 weeks. When the are on, I have only heard
them on during the day. Their day pattern is a sideways 8. They cover all of
the twin cities that dominates. However, KWMT manages to come in u/WXYQ in the

I hadn't even known that WXYG wasn't on the air yet until I opened up my inbox

Some thoughts: I have no idea how the FCC even let a station in mid-Minnesota

I have heard the LEDs are noisy too. The old tryed and true bulbs are
still throughout my house. I have stored a lot of them, so if they quit
making them, I still will have them for years.

I remember the station in Reedsport OR boosting from 10 to 50 KW just to

I have avoided CFLs just for the noise factor. I purchased a couple of LED
bulbs (yes, pricey) recently. While they seem to have a lot of advantages,
I was disappointed to see that they generated noise up to about 3 feet.

Unless we move on to acreage and have underground powerlines, there is
always the possibility of noise, but most of us cannot do that, so we
live with noise. I have been very lucky the last 30 years out here as
noise has been rare.

Interesting. I wonder what their pattern(s) look like. Radio-locator doesn't
